Commissioning a Work

Creating a successful portrait is more than just achieving a good likeness; it is also a combination of capturing personality as well as designing a beautiful sculpture that can stand on its own as a work of art.

Process circumstances may vary, however the following steps are typical:

First sitting: We will discuss design, size, patina, and base possibilities, once the details are agreed upon I will take reference measurements and photos. Approx. 1-2 hrs.

Second sitting: I will have created a rough from my reference: we will then begin the refining process. Approx. 1-3 hrs.

Third sitting: Further refining and if necessary, more sitings will be scheduked. Approx. 1-3 hrs.

Upon completion of the sculpting process, a final approval will be obtained before casting.
